Medical Marijuana, Inc. subsidiary HempMeds® Brasil has three events for doctors scheduled in Brazil to provide CBD education to healthcare professionals in the country.
Doctors in Brazil will have a unique opportunity to learn about the benefits of CBD and its legal status in the country at a trio of events being held in the Rio Grande do Sul region of Brazil next week.
HempMeds® Brasil will be received in the region by the National Association of Users of Canabidiol (ANUC) in the cities of Canoas, Passo Fundo, and Porto Alegre.
The goal behind these events is to share scientific information, strengthen ties with the medical community, and disperse an understanding of the benefits of CBD to the Brazil’s population through the country’s medical community. The three day tour will stop at hospitals and universities in the region to share this critical information with the medical communities in Brazil.
First, on March 19, Dr. Jorge Luiz Winckler, regent professor of neurology at the Lutheran University (ULBRA), will welcome the HempMeds® Brasil team in Canoas. HempMeds® Brasil invites all physicians interested in learning more about CBD as a form of treatment to visit the university’s campus for a night of lectures and the launch of a clinical study exploring CBD as treatment for Parkinson’s patients. This study is being developed in partnership with HempMeds® Brazil and Dr. Kelson James Almeida, neurologist and current technical director of the Integrated Rehabilitation Center of Piauí.
Then on the 21st, the tour continues on to Passo Fundo to meet with a pair of leaders in the health field: Dr. Alan Fröhlich, neurologist focusing on neurosurgery, and Dr. Daniel Lima Varela, professor of neurology at IMED and coordinator of the outpatient clinic at Hospital São Vicente de Paulo, where Dr. Stuart Titus, CEO of Medical Marijuana Inc, parent company of HempMeds® Brasil, will make a presentation on CBD as a potential treatment option for patients in Brazil.
“Promoting discussion on the benefits of cannabis for medicinal purposes is to contribute to less restrictive programs linked to this type of therapy. Our relationship with Brazil is thriving every day, and our goal is to contribute with health professionals to encourage the treatment of pathologies for which there is still no cure,” says Dr. Titus on the opportunity to speak to doctors in Brazil.
Finally, to end HempMeds® Brasil’s tour in the south of the country, the corporate team will be joined in Porto Alegre at the auditorium of the Moinhos de Vento Hospital by Dr. Pablo Winckler, a noted neurologist and specialist in diabetic neuropathy.
Each of these educational events has been designed to give doctors in Brazil the information they need to confidently prescribe CBD oil products to their patients.
