Infusing your tea with a splash of CBD oil is a fantastic way to take advantage of CBD’s myriad of beneficial effects.
A hot cup of tea can be uniquely relaxing as a way to start or end your day. We double down on the benefits of tea with this CBD infused tea recipe. Using your favorite tea as a base, we’ll show you how to quickly create your own homemade CBD tea for a tasty new way to get your daily CBD.
Infused CBD Tea Recipe
Adding CBD to your cup of tea is a simple process, adding only a single step to your normal process. However, there are some things to consider to make the most of your CBD tea and have an enjoyable experience.
Because CBD isn’t water soluble, you can help to increase the availability of your CBD by adding a fat to your tea, including milk or cream and even butter. In this CBD tea recipe, we use RSHO™ CBD liquids. Because water and the MCT oil in our CBD liquids won’t readily mix, adding a fat like milk or cream can also help the water and oil mix.
Here is what you will need to make CBD infused tea at home.
Ingredients:
- Your favorite tea bag or loose leaf tea
- A fat like milk or cream
- ¾ teaspoon RSHO® CBD liquid
- Honey or other sweetener is desired
Instructions:
- Heat water until it is hot but not boiling
- Steep tea according to directions on packaging
- Add a splash of milk or cream, RSHO® CBD liquid, and sweetener to tea and stir well.
As you enjoy this tea, the CBD oil and the water in the tea may begin to separate, stirring before a sip can help reduce this effect. You can also avoid this separation by using a milk frother to blend the CBD oil and milk before adding it to the tea.
Another popular way to add CBD to your hot tea is to first infuse your CBD into honey. Using a double boiler, warm and blend 2 tablespoons of honey with 1 teaspoon of RSHO® CBD liquid, stirring often until CBD oil is fully mixed into honey. You can also add CBD isolate to your honey using the same method. This CBD honey can then be used to sweeten your tea, coffee, or other beverage.
Why CBD Edibles
Infusing edibles with CBD is a great way to add the benefits of hemp derived CBD into your diet. When CBD is taken with food, the body is able to more efficiently absorb the CBD and other cannabinoids before transporting throughout the body. Here is more about why you should take CBD oil with food.
There are literally dozens and dozens of possible recipes featuring CBD oil tinctures and liquids. Use our CBD recipes to stimulate your creative cooking juices. Keep in mind that it isn’t suggested that you cook with the oil, as doing so can diminish potency.
You can get RSHO® Liquids in our Green, Blue, and Gold Labels, giving you the choice between our non-decarboxylated, decarboxylated, and filtered options. You can also opt for RSHO-X™, which contains no detectable amounts of THC. Available in 4 oz. bottles, RSHO® Liquids provide 31 mg of CBD per serving.
