As CBD continues to grow as the latest wellness trend on the market, many consumers have the same basic CBD questions, including what CBD is, whether CBD is legal, what type of CBD products are available, how to use CBD products, and many more.
Here we answer your CBD questions and give you links to learn more about each CBD topic.
1. WHAT IS CBD?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a cannabis derived cannabinoid that encourages wellness by interacting with the body’s regulatory system, the endocannabinoid system.
CBD is popularly used to encourage balance. Most often, CBD oil is derived from the hemp plant, a type of cannabis with no psychoactive properties.

2. ARE YOUR CBD PRODUCTS LEGAL?
Yes. CBD products made from hemp are federally legal in the United States. The legality of CBD oil products in the U.S. was reinforced recently with the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill, which fully removed hemp from the Controlled Substances Act, making it a commercial commodity in the country.
Our products are also available in over 40 countries internationally.
For more information on the legality of CBD oil, please visit our Is CBD Legal? page.
3. ARE YOUR CBD PRODUCTS INTOXICATING?
No. CBD itself is non-intoxicating, so they won’t impair your ability.
All our CBD oil products start with the same high CBD, low THC (less than 0.3%) hemp oil. The level of THC in our products is far too low to cause euphoric effects.
Consumers looking to avoid THC altogether can do so with our CBD isolate products, made with 99% pure CBD powder.

4. DO CANNABIDIOL (CBD) AND OTHER NATURAL HEMP BASED CONSTITUENTS SHOW UP ON A DRUG TEST?
Most workplace drug screens and tests target Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and do not detect the presence of cannabidiol (CBD). However, studies have shown that eating hemp foods and oils can, in rare cases, cause confirmed positive results when screening urine and blood specimens.
Accordingly, if you are subject to any form of drug testing, we recommend (as does the United States Military) that you do not ingest any hemp products, including our products, before consulting with your healthcare provider, drug screening/testing company, or employer.
5. ARE YOUR PRODUCTS SAFE?
Yes. Because our CBD oil is non-intoxicating and put through rigorous safety measures, including our Triple Lab Tested® process, to ensure their safety and top quality. Our Triple Lab Tested® process examines our CBD oil and its resulting products three times through our manufacturing process using licensed 3rd party labs.
Our strict quality standards have earned our products certification by the U.S. Hemp Authority.

6. DO I NEED A MEDICAL CARD TO BUY YOUR PRODUCTS?
No. Our products are not medical marijuana. Because our products are made from hemp, there is no need to obtain a doctor’s recommendation or to live in a legal medical marijuana state to have our products delivered to your door. However, before beginning any new health routine, it is suggested you consult your doctor.
7. HOW MUCH CBD SHOULD I TAKE?
This is a difficult question to answer because our customers find differences in their personally optimal serving size. Our CBD oil products have suggested serving sizes between a few milligrams and hundreds of milligrams of CBD. The answer to this question will also depend on your preferred method of using CBD oil and your budget for CBD products.

8. WILL YOUR PRODUCTS CURE/TREAT MY…?
Due to FDA regulations, Medical Marijuana, Inc. is not able to recommend our products for the treatment or diagnosis of any medical conditions. The FDA is currently working on regulations for the new CBD market.
We recommend that you consult credible sources of research and talk with your doctor. We also encourage you to read more about the natural benefits of CBD, and to talk with those who have incorporated CBD products into their wellness routine to see if a CBD routine is right for you.
9. WHICH CBD HEMP OIL PRODUCT IS RIGHT FOR ME?
This will very much depend on your own personal preference, desired CBD quantities, and preferred means of consumption. Our products are available as pure CBD oil concentrates, CBD tinctures and liquids, CBD capsules, CBD vapes, CBD edibles, CBD topicals, and more.

10. IS CBD FROM HEMP THE SAME AS CBD FROM MARIJUANA?
As far as your body is concerned, CBD is CBD, regardless of whether it comes from marijuana or hemp. However, there are several important differences between CBD products from hemp and marijuana, including legality, potency, intoxicating effects, and more.
If you are looking for non-intoxicating, legal CBD oil products, you want CBD products created with hemp like those in the Medical Marijuana, Inc. online store.
You can learn more about CBD from hemp oil vs CBD from marijuana here.
11. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CBD HEMP OIL AND HEMP SEED OIL PRODUCTS?
Most hemp products sold in grocery stores are made with hemp seed oil, which contains only trace amounts of CBD. Our CBD hemp oil is extracted from the stalk of specifically selected hemp cultivars that are naturally high in CBD for a much higher level of CBD in our products.

12. WHAT IS IN YOUR FULL SPECTRUM HEMP OIL?
Besides CBD, our nutritious full spectrum CBD oil concentrate contains dozens of vitamins, minerals, and other essential nutrients, as well as trace levels of various other cannabinoids. Full spectrum hemp oil allows the CBD oil to work with what is known as the entourage effect.

13. WHERE DOES YOUR HEMP COME FROM?
Our non-GMO hemp is grown on a generational farm in the Netherlands where hemp has been cultivated continuously for decades. Our farms cultivate our hemp using organic methods and without the use of pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers.

14. WHY SHOULD I USE CBD FROM NATURAL SOURCES?
Our full spectrum CBD hemp oil is extracted from the plant in a process that also pulls all of the plant’s nutrients and compounds for a more complete wellness product. Often called the “entourage effect”, this method of using CBD takes advantage of the whole plant, letting the body interact with the hemp in its natural state.
For consumers looking to avoid even trace amounts of THC, we also offer products made with CBD isolate derived from the same hemp oil used in all our products.
15. WHY SHOULD I BUY CBD FROM MEDICAL MARIJUANA, INC.?
We strongly suggest customers purchase any products from a source they can trust. As the company responsible for creating the CBD hemp oil product category, a safe, legal way to give millions of people access to these products, we feel that anyone considering CBD products should start with us.
