In order for us to create products – such as Real Scientific Hemp Oil™ (RSHO™), which we formulated in 2012 – to meet the quality and safety criteria that you expect and that are now standard in the industry today, we meticulously did the following:

Searched to isolate the ideal cultivar (variety) of hemp
Cultivated that hemp under conditions that would cleanly yield a crop high in CBD
Established rigorous extraction and testing standards

Natural Source of High CBD Hemp

Our commitment to making high quality CBD hemp oil begins with our all natural hemp plants. With no path in front of us to follow in this industry, our own researchers were tasked with discovering the most optimal variety of hemp for creating CBD. The chemical makeup of hemp varies between cultivars – some contain more CBD than others – and it took our team of researchers testing 3,000 different possible hemp varieties before they were able to identify the perfect hemp strain that would flourish in the perfect microclimates and provide the ideal cannabinoid content.

All of the hemp plants used for our CBD products are cultivated from certified non-GMO seeds, meaning they haven’t been genetically modified. Our cultivars of hemp contain everything you need and expect in the industry’s best CBD oil:

Clean Hemp Growing Practices

To ensure the health and viability of our plants, our farm in the Netherlands utilizes generations old cultivation techniques to carefully grow our hemp varieties in the ideal climate of northern Europe.

Our growers have helped us set the standard for sustainable and safe hemp cultivation by growing our crops without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers. This makes our hemp oil products as safe as possible right from the earliest stages of our process, which helps protects customers from residual contaminants. Our choice not to use dangerous chemicals is also a healthy option for the environment, as it prevents toxic residuals from leaching into nearby soil and water sources.

Non-Toxic and Safe CO2 Extraction Process

Once our hemp is harvested, we use a supercritical CO2 extraction process to safely extract the high quality CBD hemp oil from the plant. Supercritical CO2 refers to a fluid state of carbon dioxide that is held at or above its critical temperature and critical pressure. The stability of the CO2 allows hemp oil to be extracted with little damage, and because of its low toxicity and environmental impact, the supercritical CO2 method has become commonplace in the food industry.

While using supercritical CO2 to extract hemp oil can be more costly and requires greater skill to do correctly, it offers a more reliable and safer way to extract pure hemp oil. Other chemical solvents can linger in the extracted oil if they’re not purged correctly.

Triple Lab Tested™

While our supercritical CO2 extraction method has proven to be safe, the CBD hemp oil found in our products also undergoes a stringent testing process after extraction to ensure its cannabinoid content and make sure that it’s free of mold, mildew, heavy metals, and residual solvents. This way, only the top quality CBD products leave our warehouse.

Our rigorous Triple Lab Tested™ process, the strictest testing process in the industry, involves independent laboratories examining our hemp oil three separate times during production:

Once the CBD hemp oil has been extracted from the hemp plant
After the CBD hemp oil is imported from Europe, it’s tested by an accredited, independent laboratory
Samples from every batch of our finished CBD hemp oil products are sent to our formulator for a final test
