Elizalde will present on the changing legal landscape for CBD and hemp in Mexico and how this affects CBD oil products like RSHO-X™.
HempMeds® Mexico President Raul Elizalde is scheduled to speak this weekend at the 2018 Hemp Industries Association 25th Annual Conference (HIACON) in Los Angeles.
HIACON will be held from November 2-5 at the LAX Hilton Los Angeles. The HIA event is expected to bring together more than 400 attendees, 55 speakers, and industry thought leaders from around the world.
This hemp specific event will feature product and technology exhibitions, educational speakers, and keynote addresses by noted experts in the hemp industry, including from the Medical Marijuana, Inc. family of companies.
Attendees will hear about a range of topics, like international hemp policy, DEA actions and HIA responses, regenerative agriculture, quality assurance, international market potential, the 2018 Farm Bill, and more.
At the event, Elizalde will speak on how shifting cannabis policies in Mexico could affect the hemp and CBD oil market in the country. He will also detail HempMeds® Mexico’s efforts to expand access to CBD throughout Mexico and the new opportunities provided with loosening cannabis regulations.
“It is an honor to speak at such a prestigious event and share several exciting updates surrounding hemp in Mexico,” said HempMeds® Mexico President Raul Elizalde. “As Mexico transitions to a federal medical cannabis program, we hope to be a leading voice in hemp and cannabis education and provide policymakers with the necessary information needed to make informed decisions about their citizens’ health.”
His presentation, “Legal Status of Hemp in Mexico,” will be held in room International B at the LAX Hilton Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 10:30 a.m. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from a longtime CBD advocate and leader in the Mexican cannabis movement first-hand.
HempMeds® Mexico was the first company to receive a COFEPRIS federal government import permit for a cannabis product, RSHO-X™, for a medical indication. Since then, the company has worked with doctors, patients, and health officials in the country to ensure those who rely on access to CBD have it.
HempMeds® Mexico also supports non-profit organizations in the country with the mission of connecting patients with doctors specializing in prescribing CBD and providing patients and their families with the means to purchase CBD products.
“Raul is a well-respected leader in the industry who is frequently invited to speak at events in Latin America and internationally. Last year, he spoke at the World Health Organization (WHO)’s annual Expert Committee on Drug Dependence (ECDD) meeting and explained why CBD should not be a controlled substance and should be classified as a supplement,” said Medical Marijuana, Inc. CEO Dr. Stuart Titus.
Elizalde was a driving force behind the initial government approval of CBD as a prescription in Mexico. Since then, he has become a respected leader of the CBD legalization movement in Mexico and around the world.
“This conference will be another great chance for [Raul] to share his expert knowledge and vision for cannabis reform with other notable influencers in the hemp industry,” Dr. Titus continued.Don’t miss your opportunity to hear Raul Elizalde speak at the upcoming HIACON on November 4th.
