Medical Marijuana, Inc. Spokespersons Receive Press Coverage
A pair of spokespersons from the Medical Marijuana, Inc. family of companies were interviewed recently as part of coverage of New York’s Cannabis World Congress and Business Expo.
First, Kannaway spokesperson and former NFL Pro Bowl fullback Christian Okoye was interviewed by popular world culture website Culture Trip. According to the interview, “Nicknamed the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’, Okoye was introduced to CBD by former Chiefs teammate Nick Lowery. Hesitant at first, he learned more about the natural compound, and is now one of its most prominent advocates.”
UFC fighter and HempMeds® spokesperson Liz Carmouche was also hesitant about CBD before adding it to her personal routine. Since giving HempMeds® CBD products a try, Carmouche has become a vocal supporter of CBD as a training and recovery tool for her fellow fighters and athletes as a whole.
“Someone suggested I try CBD and at first I said “No way!”,” Carmouche told The American Cannabis Report. “I was so naïve, I thought CBD would get me high.”
Now Carmouche travels the country to give interviews and speak at important cannabis events to bring attention to the potential non-psychoactive CBD can have in the lives of her fellow athletes.

Also on the list were UC San Diego’s Center for Medicinal Cannabis Research, a Solana Beach based startup accelerator, the creators of a hand-held cannabis testing device, and more.
Cannabis Beauty Defined
Anti-aging skincare brand Cannabis Beauty Defined and its formulator Jenelle Kim were featured in a Culture Trip article looking into the role of traditional Korean herbalism and its influence on products like those in the Cannabis Beauty Defined® brand.
“A doctor of Chinese medicine based in San Diego, California, and a descendent of Korean royalty, Kim is launching Cannabis Beauty Defined Skincare,” the article reads. “The line won’t get you high, but will restore your skin’s longevity by using principles of traditional Eastern medicine developed in the 16th century.”
Cannabis Beauty Defined® products blend the benefits of ancient herbal blends with the advantages of CBD oil for a complete anti-aging skincare line. “The Cannabis Beauty Defined Skincare line is the culmination of 15 years and many different formulas put out by Kim’s lab, JBK Wellness, which has created bespoke luxe beauty products for The Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, and Mandarin Oriental,” the article said.
