CannaNative™ to Host Event for Indian Country Tribal Leaders and Members in “Tipi Capital of the World”; Discussion to Include Developing Hemp and Cannabis-Based Economies to Protect Sovereignty
San Diego, CA – Aug. 18, 2016 –CannaNative™, LLC (“CannaNative™”) – the premiere Native American-owned and operated company that uses cannabis to develop opportunities for economic development on American Indian lands – announced today that it will be exhibiting its new cannabis product line for the Native American Marketplace at the Aug. 17-21 98th Annual Crow Fair, the largest Native American gathering in the United States, also known as the “Tipi Capital of the World.”
In addition, CannaNative™’s founders and CEO will be hosting an event on Aug. 20 at 12:00 p.m. at the Cedric Black Eagle Clan Camp on the Crow Fairgrounds for tribal leaders and members who are interested in the cannabis industry and learning more about how developing hemp and cannabis-based economies can protect their sovereignty. Other topics to be discussed will be CannaNative™’s new cannabis product line, the Company’s Native Health Initiative, and professional services available for hemp grow in Indian Country.
CannaNative™ is run by co-founder and CEO Anthony Rivera, a Harvard University graduate who led the Acjachemen Nation in Southern California for nearly a decade; co-founders Cedric Black Eagle, the former chairman of the Crow Tribe of Montana, and Andy Nakai, a member of the Navajo Nation who also serves as vice chairman of the board for the Navajo Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI.)
