Sam May of Cannabis Financial Network (CannabisFN) kindly took a few minutes during the 2015 Cannabis World Congress and Business Expo last month to talk with our own Dr. Stuart Titus, Medical Marijuana, Inc.’s President and CEO. Chatting on the busy exhibit floor at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Dr. Titus and Mr. May discussed the exciting potential benefits of cannabidiol (CBD), and shared details on the potency and availability of CBD oil from HempMeds, a subsidiary and portfolio company of Medical Marijuana, Inc.

“We’ve been able to source from Europe a particular cultivar, which is a strain or type of hemp, that grows a very high concentration of this CBD,” Dr. Titus explained. “And then we’re able to extract into a natural hemp oil and then bring that back into the U.S.”

HempMeds’ CBD oil is available to order in all 50 states and even in the historically anti-cannabis country of Brazil, which now allows HempMeds to import after the oil proved to be beneficial to a young child with an otherwise intractable condition.

Organizations like CannabisFN, which features interviews with CEO’s and corporate executive teams of public companies in an effort to provide relevant information to shareholders, play an important role in the advocacy of cannabis as a viable therapeutic option and we appreciate their support of the medical cannabis industry as it continues to grow.
