Several of Medical Marijuana, Inc.\u2019s subsidiaries and brands, including HempMeds\u00ae and<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/medicalmarijuanainc.com\/companies\/real-scientific-hemp-oil\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Real Scientific Hemp Oil\u2122<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0(RSHO\u2122<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> were proudly exhibited on the event&#8217;s convention center floor, and our CEO Dr. Stuart Titus presented on the nutritional and therapeutic benefits of cannabidiol (CBD).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cwcbexpo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CWCBE<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is an annual business event that brings together entrepreneurs and sponsors within the cannabis industry. During the three days, more than 100 exhibitors and over 60 seminars, lectures, workshops, and panels provide industry owners, managers and investors with the most cutting-edge, cannabis-related technologies, solutions and resources. This year\u2019s event was held at the Javits Center near Midtown Manhattan, June 15<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-17<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On Friday afternoon, our own Dr. Titus presented &#8220;Nutritional Benefits of Industrial Hemp\/Industrial Hemp Seed,&#8221; during which he outlined the latest scientific findings on hemp oil\u2019s nutritional, health and wellness benefits, and highlighted anecdotal evidence surrounding CBD&#8217;s medicinal benefits. His talk garnered global news coverage in outlets such as ABC News, Fox News, NBC News and the Drudge Report.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HLyV9Ob6Xyo\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u5Vhrhy_ASI\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/y5ZZftL8X_U\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qSV1-6FqouI\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ABC News<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> covered the event in a<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Health\/video\/inside-cannabis-world-congress-business-expo-39918285\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">lengthy report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, during which they discussed Medical Marijuana, Inc.&#8217;s historic, first-ever import permits for cannabis products through partnerships with federal health officials in Brazil, Mexico, and Paraguay. Today, patients in Brazil are legally allowed to import and use RSHO\u2122 for cancer, epilepsy, chronic pain, and Parkinson&#8217;s disease. In Mexico and Paraguay, epilepsy patients can petition the government to legally import RSHO\u2122.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The bulk of the brands on the convention center floor featured products containing hemp, the non-psychoactive cannabis variety that contains very little THC. HempMeds\u00ae showcased a variety of their retail-ready cannabis products, including Canchew hemp-oil gum.<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gettyimages.se\/detail\/nyhetsfoto\/cannabidiol-vapor-products-are-displayed-during-the-nyhetsfoto\/540923622\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Getty Images<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> shared photos of Medical Marijuana, Inc.&#8217;s HempV\u0100P\u00ae and RSHO-X\u2122 products taken from the exhibit floor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe\u2019re impressed and humbled that respected members of the news media in New York are telling our Company\u2019s story and covering the newest multibillion-dollar U.S. industry,\u201d said Dr. Titus. \u201cIt\u2019s an exciting time to be involved in the cannabis industry, and it\u2019s our goal at conferences like these to educate audiences on the plethora of benefits that our products can bring to people around the world. In another panel, former Chicago Bears quarterback Jim McMahon and other former pro athletes discussed the benefits of THC for pain relief.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The size of CWCBE has grown exponentially over the years. There were just 15 exhibitors in the event\u2019s first year in 2014. This year, there were more than 100. The event\u2019s surge over just a two-year span is another indication of the burgeoning cannabis industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Based on Colorado&#8217;s numbers, if [marijuana] was legalized throughout the U.S., we&#8217;d have a $120 billion business just on recreational [sales],&#8221; Dr. Titus said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Los Angeles Convention Center will host the West Coast CWCBE in September.
