HempMeds® and their local branch HempMeds® Mexico are excited to invite doctors and health officials to our educational forum Cannabidiol, Medical and Therapeutic Uses on October 8, 2016, in col. Juarez, Mexico, at the Hotel Fiesta Americana Reforma.

“One of our objectives [for this event] is to share with health professionals the results of international clinical studies that focus on the neuroprotective properties of cannabinoids, as well as several clinical applications,” said Dion Markgraaff, President of HempMeds® Mexico.

Cannabidiol, Medical and Therapeutic Uses presents a unique educational opportunity for the doctors of Mexico to learn about cannabidiol and their ability to prescribe RSHO-X™ to their patients now for certain intractable conditions.

Not only is HempMeds® Mexico the event host, but Dr. Stuart Titus, CEO of HempMeds® parent company Medical Marijuana, Inc., will lead a presentation that will focus on HempMeds®’s RSHO-X™, the only legal cannabinoid-based product approved in Mexico. Dr. Titus will also discuss the company’s other ventures in making CBD hemp oil widely available in Latin America and beyond, the unrivaled quality of HempMeds® products, and the related history of Medical Marijuana, Inc.’s other portfolio companies, including HempMeds® Brasil.

Dr. Titus and the rest of the event’s presenters will educate doctors on the many benefits of cannabinoids, specifically CBD, and provide training for them to prescribe RSHO-X™ now for their patients by discussing the process.

“Our products have been the first to be approved by regulatory health agencies in Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America, and we are now proud to be the first Company to establish rapprochement programs for the medical community.” said Dr. Titus. “We are dedicated to actively educating health professionals on the plethora of benefits that cannabidiol from hemp provides to treat several types of indications.”

This event, in addition to educating participants on CBD use and laws in Mexico, will act as a fundraiser for the Por Grace Foundation. The Por Grace Foundation is a non-profit started by Raul Elizalde, father of Grace, who was diagnosed at a young age with a form of intractable childhood epilepsy, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, and became the first patient in Mexico to legally import CBD. In conjunction with HempMeds® Mexico, Raul and the Por Grace Foundation have worked tirelessly to bring access to CBD to the people of Mexico, hosting public forums about medical cannabis and meeting with government officials in Mexico to lobby for expanded access to CBD. Learn more about the Por Grace Foundation and their efforts at their website and Facebook page.
