All around the world, people celebrated our planet throughout the weekend with awareness events, clean-up days, and more to ensure that the big blue ball we call home is viable for generations to come. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To celebrate Earth Day this year, Medical Marijuana, Inc. and our portfolio company HempMeds\u00ae attended the San Diego EarthFair as major sponsors. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>With over 60,000 estimated attendees this year, the 28th Annual EarthFair drew crowds of all ages to Balboa Park to learn, play, and participate in a wide range of activities centered on a healthier, more sustainable world.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A new addition to this year\u2019s EarthFair was the Canna Village. Made up of over 40 booths, this section of the event was dedicated to all things cannabis, including medical marijuana dispensaries, cannabis brands, and manufacturers of retail hemp products, like HempMeds\u00ae. <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;23588,23589&#8243; size=&#8221;600&#215;600&#8243; column=&#8221;ig_col_2&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hemp is a renewable resource that can be used to produce nutritional supplements, food, and thousands of products. The plant\u2019s chemical and nutritional make-up and its environmentally friendly properties allow it to serve as a means of healing for both the planet and us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">At the HempMeds\u00ae booth, EarthFair attendees learned about the benefits of hemp and hemp oil products, were able to try HempMeds\u00ae products firsthand, and could purchase CBD supplements to take home with them that day. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hemp is an excellent source of nutrition, containing protein, healthy fats, and nutrients, as well as cannabinoids that promote homeostasis and balance within the body\u2019s systems. For this reason, hemp oil has become popular as a dietary supplement. <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery type=&#8221;image_grid&#8221; images=&#8221;23590,23591&#8243; size=&#8221;600&#215;600&#8243; column=&#8221;ig_col_2&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">However, hemp is also important to the earth\u2019s sustainability. Hemp efficiently absorbs atmospheric CO2 to help combat climate change. Because it can be used to create paper pulp, hemp protects forests from unnecessary destruction. Its fiber can also be used for cordage or cloth.
