Hosted from Friday to Saturday, April 21-22, the event attracted medical marijuana patients and cannabis industry insiders and activists to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh for two days of networking, education, and advocacy with some of the biggest names in cannabis.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event garnered coverage in regional and national news over the weekend, with the media focusing on the many health benefits of cannabis on display on the expo floor.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=K8zdbLL_EJk”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tBuUTckwNUo”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]HempMeds\u00ae was a Platinum Sponsor for the weekend\u2019s event, which comes at a critical time as Pennsylvania prepares to roll out access to medical marijuana in the state. Pennsylvania became the 24th medical marijuana state last April, legalizing access for patients with a doctor\u2019s recommendation and a condition falling under the state\u2019s official list of indications.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, CBD hemp oil from HempMeds\u00ae is already legal and accessible in Pennsylvania, filling an important gap in cannabinoid access until regulated state access takes effect \u2013 or for those without pre-approved conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Preceding Dr. Titus\u2019 appearance, Andrew Hard, CEO of CMW Media, hosted a panel titled \u201cChildren and Cannabis\u201d that gave a voice to families affected by CBD hemp oil. Among those who spoke were Penny Howard and her daughter Lilly Howard, Raul Elizalde, and Cassandra Stephan.
