Medical Marijuana, Inc.\u2019s portfolio of companies begins the new year with exciting international news. Two of our products from the Real Scientific Hemp Oil\u2122 brand have been approved as registered medicines by the government in Paraguay. <\/span><\/p>\n

CBD isolate formulated RSHO-X\u2122 and full-spectrum RSHO\u2122 Blue Label CBD oils<\/a> will now be available through pharmaceutical and medical distribution channels throughout the country, increasing patients\u2019 ability to access these products.<\/span><\/p>\n

Medical Marijuana, Inc. CEO Dr. Stuart Titus remarked on the news: \u201c<\/span>We are a company of firsts<\/span><\/a>, and we are excited about this new historic milestone of being the first company to have a CBD product registered as a medicine in Paraguay.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Paraguay\u2019s official registration of Medical Marijuana, Inc.\u2019s CBD hemp oil products marks the first time a country has registered our products as medicinal products. This registration of our products opens the ability for pharmacies and healthcare providers in Paraguay to distribute cannabis products to patients, increasing the reach of our CBD oil products.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"CBD<\/p>\n

Paraguay\u2019s decision is part of a larger trend among international countries permitting the use of cannabinoids like CBD for therapeutic use when conventional medicines were deemed ineffective. <\/span><\/p>\n

The story of CBD in Paraguay began in May of 2016 when RSHO\u2122 became the <\/span>first medical cannabis product approved and imported for use<\/span><\/a> in Paraguay. This was the third time in a little over a year that RSHO\u2122 was the first cannabis product approved in a Latin American country. Previously <\/span>Brazil<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Mexico<\/span><\/a> had both approved the special import of RSHO\u2122 CBD oil for patients with a doctor\u2019s prescription in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first official import certificate for RSHO\u2122 Blue Label Liquid was assigned to a 15 year old boy. Before this historic first import certificate, all forms of cannabis were banned in Paraguay, even for medical use, including hemp-based products. <\/span><\/p>\n

This approval of RSHO\u2122 opened the door to additional patients requesting access to RSHO\u2122. Medical Marijuana, Inc.\u2019s CBD hemp oil products have now been prescribed for over 100 citizens in Paraguay.<\/span><\/p>\n
