Phyto Animal Health Travels to Las Vegas This Weekend to Participate in 90th Annual Western Veterinary Conference

Medical Marijuana, Inc. animal health and wellness subsidiary to promote CBD for pets and livestock at upcoming veterinary conference.

The Western Veterinary Conference (WVC) Annual Conference, one of the largest and most influential gatherings of veterinary professionals in the world, will be Phyto Animal Health’s first industry event since launching its exclusive line of CBD oil products for pets and livestock.

The WVC is celebrating its 90th event at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, from March 4-8, 2018. Medical Marijuana, Inc. portfolio company Phyto Animal Health will be participating at WVC by exhibiting their innovative line of CBD-infused pet products and hemp animal bedding and litter. Members of the company’s advisory board are scheduled to share their expertise with applying CBD and other cannabinoids to veterinary care.

During WVC’s conference, veterinary professionals in attendance will have the opportunity to participate in more than 1,000 continuing education hours. The event’s scientific programs, workshops, and hands-on labs, include topics like how to repair fractured bones, the human-animal bond, the effective use of new veterinary technology, choosing the right homecare pet products, and others.

Phyto Animal Health is scheduled to have a pair of members from its Veterinary Advisory Board speaking at the below times:

  • Tuesday, March 6, 4:00 – 4:50p: Scooby’s Doobies – Veterinary Uses of Medical Cannabis: Liz Hughston, MEd., RVT, CVT, VTS (SAIM, ECC)
  • Wednesday, March 7, 5:00 – 5:50p: An Appropriate Approach to Medical Cannabinoids: Stephen F. Cital, RVT, SRA, RLAT, VTS-Lab Animal

These presentations, sponsored by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM), will provide valuable insight into the health and wellness benefits of CBD for pets – including supporting cardiovascular function, supporting healthy joints, and promoting neurological health and emotional behavior.

“This is our first industry conference, and we are extremely proud of our Veterinary Advisory Board members for being chosen to speak here on our behalf,” said Phyto Animal Health CEO Ian Quinn. “We hope to use this event not only as an opportunity to talk about our products, but also provide education about the benefits of CBD for pets.”

WVC also presents fast-paced Learning Lounge presentations conveniently located in the expo hall. These short sessions allow attendees to learn the latest innovations from a wide variety of companies.

Past WVC conferences have brought in an average of 14,000 attendees each year from all 50 U.S. states and 43 countries on six continents. This wide attendance is the perfect venue for Phyto Animal Health to begin promoting its CBD oil pet products directly to veterinary health professionals.
